What The Current Price Of Soybeans Says About The Chinese Economy.
Have you noticed the price of Soybeans lately? Ha Ha, well I wouldn't have noticed either, except for a recent note by Miles Guo. Miles Guo is the exiled Chinese Billionaire who is rabidly anti CCP, the Chinese Communist Party.
His decidedly pro-West, pro US is refreshing in a world which doesn't always think that way.
Recently Mr. Guo noted that it was being reported that several Chinese Soldiers were disciplined for “wasting food.” Hardly something that we in the west would feel was worthy of punishment. But Guo surmised that the real purpose of the public humiliation of the soldiers was a message to all the rest: cut back on your food portions. Guo feels that China is facing a food shortage, and the first place to start the rationing was with the soldiers.
