It is the position of the United States Department of Justice, and 10 States which have joined their lawsuit, that the dominant search engine, Google, has in fact become the Gate Keeper to the Internet. To use the Department Of Justice's term. That Google now controls the way that millions of internet users can search the web, by establishing monopolistic control over the search function on many, if not most, of the popular internet service providers.

Use your desktop, and often Google has been embedded, by the manufacture of your PC as the default search vehicle. This is also the case many times for your laptop and your smart phone. When delivered to you many of these have Google programmed in as the default search engine.
