It was, without a doubt, the nation's worst economic quarter ever. We know that now. Our nation's GDP, the broadest measure of the goods and services produced for that quarter, declined at an annual rate of 31.7%, according to this week's second revision.

That's worse than even the Great Depression of nearly a century ago, when the Nation's GDP declined at about the 25% rate.

It was an economic shock like we've never seen.
