A Job At Least!

Although I didn't know it at the time, my experience perfectly reflected the cycle of the labor economy. It was a time very much like now.

And like today, jobs back in the late 1970's were hard to come by. Then, the nation had been through an extended period of low growth. A time when employers were reluctant to hire new people.

Although back then it took years to work through this labor cycle of the economy, this time we're doing it in just months. The time frame has been compressed, but the cycle looks familiar.
